Inpainting
Also known as: AI inpaint, image fill, generative fill
Definition
Inpainting is the task of filling a masked region of an image with new AI-generated content that blends seamlessly with the surrounding pixels — used for object removal, background extension, and content replacement.
In more detail
You mark the area you want changed, optionally write a prompt describing what should appear there, and the AI fills it. Modern diffusion-based inpainting handles complex scenes with consistent lighting and texture matching. Mobbi exposes inpainting in the Image Editor and as a standalone tool.

FAQ
Can inpainting remove a person from a photo?+
Yes — mask the person and the AI reconstructs the background as if they were never there. Works well for cluttered scenes and crowds.
